Pathfinder Coaching specialises in helping people to achieve their professional goals. We have developed our knowledge of careers over the past fifteen years in our Executive Search business and have honed our skills to support those individuals who are either planning a change in their career or who have change thrust upon them. Our work with hundreds of candidates and countless employers has given us a unique insight into the challenges faced by both in a world where change is the “new normal”. Our work focusses on senior leaders who want to take charge of their own careers or those who want to ensure their goals are achieved within their employer’s framework. Our aim is to make coaching accessible to everyone so it becomes a natural part of what successful people do.
Claire Beasley is the joint founder of Pathfinder Coaching. Claire has helped countless senior executives over the past fifteen years to find satisfying roles and she is building on this experience to work with clients who are either planning a change in career or those who have change thrust upon them. She cares very much that coaching should be accessible to everyone so it becomes a natural part of what successful people do.
Before starting Pathfinder, Claire founded court & spark consulting in 2004, a specialist executive search firm for the retail sector. Her corporate career includes stints as Retail Operations Director with New Look, Director Retail Personnel & Training with Arcadia Group and Regional Manager with Laura Ashley in North America.
Claire has an MBA and Professional Certificate in Coaching from Henley Business School and is currently working towards her ICF accreditation.
In addition to working at Pathfinder and court & spark with a portfolio of UK and international clients, Claire enjoys the outdoors, taking part in gig rowing and sea swimming, achieving success this year in the Round Hayling Island rowing competition and swimming the Solent for charity. She is active in her community, chairing the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation, as well as holding trustee roles with the Donor Conception Network and Energise Me.
Sue Willis is the joint founder of Pathfinder Coaching. Over the past twenty years she has supported countless senior executives to find satisfying roles and has been building on this experience in recent years working with clients who are either planning a change in career or have had change thrust upon them.
Pathfinder Coaching brings together the skills, experiences, knowledge and interests that she has acquired in her own career. Before Pathfinder she held senior managerial roles in HR in corporate organisations including The Burton Group, then shifted to small business, focusing on Executive Search most recently as Director at court & spark consulting, where she began working with Claire Beasley her business partner at Pathfinder. Executive Search allowed her to work with different businesses and with senior executives to grow and develop their careers. She worked hard to build long lasting relationships and is proud of the reputation she achieved as someone of trust, integrity, honesty and discretion.
With a desire for personal growth and an increasing awareness of changes in the workplace she qualified with the Association of Coaching as an Executive Coach focusing on career and transition. The ingredients are the same: supporting people to meet the challenges and opportunities they face in their careers, just with a slightly different twist. Alongside Pathfinder court & spark is still very much part of her work as a specialist executive search firm for the retail sector.
Outside of work she acts as a volunteer advising clients at Citizens Advice and has a number of outdoor interests to challenge and maintain her fitness. She is also catching up on her missed years of watching live music at small and outdoor music venues.
We think it’s important that your coaching experience fits in with your life. That’s why we offer a variety of formats for your coaching sessions. We can flex the length of the coaching programme, the individual coaching sessions and the format to suit you.
We are based in London and conduct our face to face coaching sessions at The Century Club, 61-63 Shaftesbury Avenue. This provides a relaxed environment with plenty of discreet spaces to have private conversations. In the summer we take advantage of the largest rooftop terrace in Soho, with stunning views of London’s iconic skyline.
Once we have got to know each other, sometimes a coaching session on the phone is a practical option. Our experience suggests that this can provide a unique opportunity for coaching without visual distractions and therefore increased focus on the topic under discussion. You could be at home, in a quiet office or any suitable relaxed environment.
Another option popular with many people is online coaching. As with phone sessions, this format can work really well when meeting up in person proves challenging either because of diary commitments or logistics. We can coach via Skype, Facetime or Zoom.
We are pleased to offer “walking” coaching sessions either in the parks of Central London or on the Isle of Wight. There is plenty of evidence highlighting the health benefits of walking but also some academic research which demonstrates how walking can really help to shift thinking. Being side to side rather than face to face with your coach is also more appealing to some people.
